Weeks worth of fun!!!!

Wow, it's been awhile since I blogged. I guess it's because we've been sooooo crazy busy the last couple weeks that I haven't had time to sit down and type everything up.
I'm happy to say that today has calmed down enough for me to tell you all about it
(that is if anyone actually looks at my blog....) Lol

First things first.........

ERIC HAD HIS 22nd BIRTHDAY!!!!!
It's his first birthday since his mission, and I wanted to try
and make it a special one. I told him it was his day and he could
do what he wanted. So, when he woke up, I asked him what he
wanted for breakfast, and I bet you'll never guess what he said....
CHOCOLATE! Haha So I made him so chocolate Malt o' Meal :)
(It's "heart healthy" chocolate)

Then I had him open the gifts I had bought him. I warned him
beforehand that there would be pictures taken, so he should
look as presentable as he wanted. :)

Here's the birthday boy :) Isn't he sexy!!! ;)

I had to add to his Batman collection.... I couldn't resist!

The smile on his face is priceless!!!
Someday Eric and I will have real lions... someday

Good ole Mario

So after the present opening Eric and I busted out some
crazy Batman Lego playing skills and chilled the rest of the morning, eating an
early lunch at home. Eric had to go to a Math recitation, so I drove him to
the class and waited for him in a parking spot while read a fantastic book...

And then took him to get a birthday "cake". Eric isn't the biggest fan of
cake, so I got him Coldstone Brownie Chocolate Heaven (that's not the real
name, but it looked like something along those lines :)

After brownie heaven we went to the mall and went shopping. Mainly
at the video store there, but we stopped by an arcade place and wasted a
few quarters playing old school games. I love being married!!!!

After spending a few hours walking around the mall, I had to go to work :(
But it was only for a short little while, then Eric and Andrew picked
me up, took me home to change, and then we headed to CAFE RIO!!!!!!
for a dinner with my family. It was a great dinner with
good times had all around. And we got to have delicious sweet pork
from the best restaurant ever! Earlier in the week my parents
had given Eric their birthday present to him:
The Joseph Smith Papyri: The Egyptian Endowment
Eric has been thoroughly enjoying it!!!!

The next day was an equally exciting day. Eric and I finished classes
and drove down to SLC for a day of partying! Our first stop was
to a newly opened store called "Asian City". Haha! We bought some
curly bamboo and a tiny tree called a "Money Tree"
Fun stuff! :) Hopefully we don't kill them...

Then we had a crazy quick drive to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple
to catch the 3 o'clocksession. We barely made it, but we had some
pretty cool experiences there. The temple is seriously the
best place ever!!!! Here are some pictures of the temple and us
after we had finished with the session.

What a beautiful temple!

I know, the green and brown don't really match, but hey, it was cold!

My dashingly handsome husband!!!!

After a peaceful and spiritual trip to the temple, we headed into
downtown Salt Lake and had an amazing dinner at
The Spaghetti Factory! Loved me some Mizithra (sp?) cheese!

Then we booked it to the Gateway to find a parking spot
and made our way to my first concert ever!! The headlining band was
"New Found Glory" one of Eric's favorite band. We got there during
the second performing band and found great spots in the back with a
table and chairs. Haha, I wasn't feeling up to a lot of crowd surfing or joining the
mosh pit (I know that's surprising ;)) Eric was cool with sitting in
back with me and enjoying the crazy loud music and insane crowd!

Right after the New Found Glory banner was lifted up

During the concert

The massive amounts of paper confetti they sprayed on the crowd when the came
back onto the stage for an encore performance!

My fantastic husband drove us safely home after a long day! But the
partying wasn't over yet! On Saturday Eric's parents (who had driven
down to Logan the day before) came up in the afternoon time and
took everyone (Eric, me, Andrew, Tanis, and Erich) to dinner at
Olive Garden! MMMMM!!!! I love Italian food! They gave
Eric his birthday gifts and he had a Batman filled birthday! Batman
cards, games, books, movies, cups, rice bags... If you haven't caught on,
Eric loves Batman! It was a great evening spent laughing and
enjoying company with family. Afterwards everyone came over
and played a new card game Andrew gave Eric for his birthday
called "Guillotine". Slightly morbid, but sooooo much fun to play.

Overall it's been a fantastic couple of days and it'll only get better!!!!
